Khabib Nurmagomedov doesn’t see a need to have ring girls in his promotion.
Nurmagomedov, who recently bought Russian MMA promotion Gorilla Fighting Championship, won’t have ring girls in his newly branded “Eagle Fighting Championship.”
The former UFC Lightweight Champion deems ring girls unnecessary.
“Ring girls are the most useless people in martial arts,” Nurmagomedov said at a Moscow press conference.
Well, some ring card girls from New York City have responded to Khabib, and they had some very thoughtful opinions.
Many of the girls who perform as exotic dancers at the upscale Rick’s Cabaret New York and Vivid Cabaret New York gentlemen’s clubs have frequently worked as round card girls at assorted combat, MMA, and boxing events. Some of the girls have commented on Khabib’s remarks.
Rick’s Cabaret girl Katina who has been a round card girl at several boxing events said, “Look, he’s entitled to his opinion, and no doubt he’s an awesome fighter, but I’m pretty sure that the fans also love us girls.”
Vivid Cabaret girl Brittany said, “I respect his talents, but I don’t think he knows that we girls promote the events through our social media and help the promotions in many ways.”
Rick’s Cabaret girl Justine said, “Khabib should consider that we girls are part of the excitement and we always get a huge positive response from the audience.”
