Universal Orlando Gets Approval For Reopening

Universal Orlando was given approval from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to reopen.

Orlando Mayor Jerry Demings had sent the Universal proposal, along with a dozen other smaller attractions, to the governor, the Orlando Sentinel said.

Demings said in a letter to DeSantis in approved Universal’s “phased-approach” that includes an on-site inspection of safety procedures and protocols by Orange County and Florida Department of Health.

Sites like Fun Spot, were also hopeful to start welcoming visitors this weekend.

“It really hinges on the governor,” said John Chidester, Fun Spot America’s vice president of marketing, told the Sentinel.
