LeBron James’ 2020 All-Star Game Jersey Raises $630,000 at Auction for Charity

The All-Star Game, held at United Center in Chicago last month, pitted Team LeBron vs. Team Giannis, which featured stars James and Giannis Antetokounmpo selected themselves via draft. The jerseys the teams wore paid tribute to Kobe and Gianna Bryant, who were among the nine people who lost their lives in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.

Team LeBron wore No. 2 jerseys in tribute to the number Gianna wore on her youth basketball team. Players for Team Giannis, meanwhile, wore No. 24 on their jerseys, of course in honor of one of the numbers Kobe wore during his Hall of Fame career with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The proceeds from the auction of James’ jersey, along with the 24 others donned in the game, will benefit both the Mamba on Three Fund and the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation, charities championed by the Bryant family.
